PRESS: Gazprombank, Region-Rossium want to buy Otkritie FC Bank

MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- Companies, affiliated with Russia’s Gazprombank and multi-industry group Region-Rossium, want to acquire Otkritie Financial Corporation (FC) Bank, Kommersant business daily reported on Tuesday citing sources.

“There are two serious bidders for Otkritie FC Bank, currently owned by the central bank. Kommersant’s sources, familiar with the situation, point to companies, affiliated with Gazprombank and Region-Rossium group,” the daily reported.

One of the sources said that Gazprombank “lobbies (the purchase) heavily,” because hopes to increase significantly and obtain competences it is lacking now thanks to the deal.

Sberbank is also willing to bid for the bank, the sources added.
